This painting is a study I did to understand the Impressionism painting style. Stepping out of my comfort zone of painting with this one. Using broader strokes and brighter colors than I'm used to. The subject of this painting is an iconic shaved ice cart named Gus and YaiYai's. One of Pittsburgh's many legendary landmarks. The cart is located in the Allegheny Commons Park.
